Small circular, crater-like openings that appear during or shortly after the spray application. Caused by a lack of wetability of the surface, normally contaminated with oil, wax, silicone, grease, etc...

  • Poor cleaning of surfaces.
  • Environmental contamination, mainly by silicones.
  • Water or oil present in the compressed air.
  • Dirty spray guns or equipment.


  • Thoroughly clean the substrate using the correct degreaser and clean cloths. Change cloths frequently.
  • Use anti-silicone additives.
  • Use water fi lters and regular air drains when installing compressed air systems.
  • Properly clean the spray equipment.
