Founded in 1963, Bernardo Ecenarro, S.A. is a paint manufacturer specialised in manufacturing Special Paints and Coatings for the Industrial, Commercial Vehicle and Automotive Repainting sectors.

The experience acquired as a manufacturer for more than 60 years, and the calling for continuous training through our R+D+i department, have made us what we are: an avant-garde company and a reference in the manufacture of paints and special coatings, and one of Europe’s main manufacturers involved in the production of Industrial Tinting Systems.
STATE-OF-THE-ART INFRASTRUCTURE
In order to provide the best service and product to our customers, we believe it is essential to have the best possible infrastructure, one that allows us to be one step ahead in the sector.
As a result, our facilities have a built area of 20,000 m2, divided into a manufacturing area of 10,000 square meters, equipped with the latest generation machinery on the market, a 7,200m2 fully automated finished product warehouse, a 2,200m2 raw materials warehouse, and a 500m2 training centre, with modern equipment and facilities.
HIGHLY EFFICIENT LOGISTICS SERVICE
The intelligent finished product warehouse has enabled BESA to improve the efficiency and productivity of its internal logistics, streamlining order preparation. This allow providing a very agile delivery service, minimising picking errors.

1963
Bernardo Ecenarro, opened the first paint shop in Elgoibar, which sold throughout the Basque Country.
1974
It began manufacturing thinners. The company was incorporated under the name Bernardo Ecenarro, S.A.
1978
The company grew and started manufacturing paints for the industry and bodywork.
1980
Distribution began throughout Spain.
1985
The Artiach factory, a manufacturer of industrial paints, became the property of the company.
1992
BESA launched the URKI-SYSTEM universal tinting system. We crossed our borders. France and Portugal were the first countries to have access to our products.
1995
Bernardo Ecenarro refreshed its image and changed its logo.
1996
The ISO 9001 certificate guaranteed the quality of our products. The company attended its first international trade fair in Frankfurt.
1998
New logistics warehouse. First paint company in Spain with a robotised warehouse.
1999
Once again this year, we obtained the ISO 14001 certificate.
2000
The first range of water-soluble paints for the industrial sector is launched.
2001
A company is created for the distribution of the products in Canada and the USA.
2002
BESA ITALIA is created.
2008
The company continues to grow and BESA FRANCE is created.
2011
The company renewed its image and this year it began building the new factory. The corporate image was refreshed. The brand is renamed BESA, and all corporate elements are renewed.
2014
Relocation to new facilities.
2017
Launch of the SINNEK brand.
