2K matt clearcoat designed to repair and refinish vehicles with two-coat systems. It stands out for its excellent resistance to scratching and petrol, its easy application, good outdoor
performance and smooth finish.
Due to its formulation, it can be mixed with BESAGLASS HS “Anti Scratch” to achieve the required gloss level.

Homogenise perfectly before use.
Apply 2 cross coats at 5 to 10 minute intervals, to allow flash-off.
Note: If necessary, E-225 (slow) and E-202 (fast) can be used in the same mixing ratio, but the level of gloss can be altered.
The solvent must be allowed to evaporate completely between coats before baking to achieve a homogeneous final gloss.
It is applied directly on two-coat basecoats (both solvent and water-based) after at least 30 minutes from applying the base coat.
When using it on waterborne basecoats, it is very important to ensure that the water evaporates completely before the clearcoat is applied.
It is very important that the surface is free of dirt as it is not possible to rectify after the clearcoat has been applied.
The use of BESA tack cloths is recommended before applying it.

By mixing (by weight) with BESAGLASS HS ANTI-SCRATCH, a range of intermediate glosses can be achieved, using hardener in 2:1 ratio.
In order to achieve the glosses shown in the following chart, it is very important to homogenise all the products before mixing them together and the recommended thickness should be between 40-50μm. Thickness below or above these, or the use of hardeners other than E-224, may alter these percentages.

To keep the matte effect of the clearcoat, avoid using abrasive cleaners. Polishing of the varnish is not recommended as it would cause an increase the gloss with respect to the rest of the vehicle.
The use of appropriate personal protective equipment is recommended during application, to prevent the irritation of the respiratory tract, skin and eyes. For professional use only.
Keep in a tightly covered container, in a dry and ventilated place, avoiding direct exposure to sunlight. Temperature above 5°C is recommended, between 15 and 30°C optimal.
The VOC content of BESAGLASS HS MATE is a maximum of 840 g/l, in compliance with European regulation 2004/42/EC IIB(E) (840) <840 g/l.
